Mary Terry


The Washington State USBC Association is pleased to induct Mary Terry into the Washington State USBC Association Hall of Fame on this 16th day of June, 2012.
 

    Mary has been an active promoter of bowling at the state, local and league levels for approximately 32 years.    

Mary was actively involved in the Local Association as a Officer for the Mid Columbia Women’s Bowling association, Washington Tri City USBC BA, and the Desert Winds YABA and USBC Association.  Then at the state level Mary was involved with the Washington Women’s Bowling Association, WSUSBC as the Mixed State Tournament Manager, Mary has been very active her whole life from League, Local, State and National level from League Secretary, Various Local and State Officer positions throughout her career, also attended the National Conventions as a Delegate for WWBA and is a Bronze Certified Coach.  Mary also received the Washington State YABA LaDonna Moore volunteer of the Year Award in 2002, and the WSUSBC Presidents award in 2009, and many more accomplishments.

Ed Alverson

The Washington State USBC Association is pleased to induct Ed Alverson into the Washington State USBC Association Hall of Fame on this 16th day of June, 2012.  

 Ed has been an active promoter of bowling at the state, local and league levels for approximately 57 years. 
    
  

Ed was actively involved with his Local association as a Board Member, President for 9 years and a League Vice President for 10 years, and involved at the state level as a director for WSBA for 22 years and a delegate to the National convention for 20 plus years.  Ed was   also  involved with his Local youth association for approx 30 plus years and helped create a financially solid scholarship program that gives  out upwards to $3000 annually to deserving youth bowlers. Ed has participated in many state bowling tournaments from Local, State and National tournaments, even though Ed is retired now he still contributes his time to USBC to promote bowling in all areas.

Jan Hauschel

                                   

The Washington State USBC Association is pleased to induct Jan Hauschel into the Washington State USBC Association Hall of Fame on this 16th day of July, 2011.

  Jan has been an active promoter of bowling at the state, local and league levels for approximately 37 years.
 
Jan has many titles from bowling thru her career, she has been on the Kitsap All star team for 22 years.  She has been All events winner for her association in 85-86, 89-90, County team champs 92-93, 96-97, 98-99, 04-05, County trios champ 91-92, 96-97, 98-99, County Doubles champ 97-98, took 4th place in State Queens in 98-99. Then in 91-92 she was state doubles champion, and State Team Champions in 95-96, 96-97, 98-99 (New record 3105) 99-2000, 00-01 (New Record 3119) 01-02 (New record 3204) and also in 03-04 4 Person Womens  Team Champions. Jan has bowled in 25 National tournaments she is very active in her Local Association, she has been on the board of directors for 18 years serving on every committee.  She became the Local President in 2004-05 and is still the current Local president.

Joy Walker

The Washington State USBC Association is pleased to induct Joy Walker into the Washington State USBC Association Hall of Fame on this 27th day of March, 2010.

Joy has been an active promoter of bowling at the state, local and league levels for approximately 52 years.

Joy has previously held the office of President, Vice President, and Director for the Longview-Kelso Women’s Bowling Association, & Cowlitz USBC, a past Director at State level for the WSYABA and is currently a director for WSUSBC. Joy also served as a Team Captain, Officer and league secretary at league level.

Joy was inducted into the Longview – Kelso WBA Hall of Fame in 1992 and as a permanent member of WIBC. Joy is the current Association Manager for Cowlitz USBC and is also the Tournament Director for the WSUSBC Youth State tournament.  Joy is still active in the bowling community and is a board member at the state level.  Joy has also been very active in civic duties as well.

Ned Bowman

The Washington State USBC Association is pleased to induct Ned Bowman into the Washington State USBC Association Hall of Fame on this 27th day of March, 2010.

Ned has been an active promoter of bowling at the state, local and league levels for approximately 44 years.

Ned has previously held the office of President, Director, Youth Director and was the Assistant Association Secretary for the Grays Harbor Men’s Bowling Association, also President, VP, and Director for Washington State Bowling Association. Ned also served as a League President and League Secretary.  Ned was the 1989 Director of the Year for Grays Harbor Bowling Association.  Ned is currently a Director for WSUSBC and a director for Palouse Regional USBC, and is still active in the bowling community. Ned has been a coach for approximately 15 years and is also a Bronze Certified Coach.

Michael King

The Washington State USBC Association is pleased to induct Michael King into the Washington State USBC Association Hall of Fame on this 28th day of March, 2009.

Mike has been an active promoter of bowling at the state, local and league levels for 45 years. Mike previously held the office of President, Vice President, and Director for the Longview-Kelso Bowling Association and at State level for the Washington State Bowling Association for approximately 18 years.  Mike also served as a Team Captain and Officer at the league level.  Mike was inducted into the Longview – Kelso Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1995 and as a Life member in 2000. Mike is currently the President of the Cowlitz USBC Association, and still active in the bowling community.

Donna DeSpain

The Washington State USBC Association is pleased to induct Donna DeSpain into the Washington State USBC Association Hall of Fame on this 29th day of March, 2008.

Donna has been active promoter of bowling at the state, local and league levels for 50 years. Donna has held the office of President for Lv-Kelso WWBA from 1968 to 1979 11 years, and as a Director and Officer at the league level.  Donna was a Director at the state association level as a member of the WWBA for 27 years from 1976 to 2003. Donna was also inducted into the WWBA Member of Emeritus in 2003. She was inducted into the Longview-Kelso WIBC WBA Hall of Fame in 1982 and also as a Life member of WIBC in 1982.

Charlotte “Char” Smith

The Washington State USBC Association is pleased to induct Char Smith into the Washington State USBC Association Hall of Fame on this 3rd day of March, 2007.

Char has been a strong and active promoter of bowling at the state, local and league levels for 36 years. Char has held every office at the league, local and state association level. As a member of the WWBA, Char served as a director, 2nd Vice President, Vice President and President prior to the merger of the WWBA, WSBA and WSYABA. Char also served on over 20 committees while on the WWBA. Char was also chair of the State Transition Board. She was inducted into the Coeur d’Alene USBC WBA Hall of Fame in 2004 and the St. Maries USBC Hall of Fame 1996.

Jerry Ledbetter

The Washington State USBC Association is pleased to induct Jerry Ledbetter into the Washington State USBC Association Hall of Fame on this 3rd day of March, 2007.

Jerry has served on the local association board for over 15 years and is the current Association Manager of the South Sound USBC. Jerry’s service to the sport of bowling, in that time, is remarkable and is achievements on the lanes are even more astounding. South Sound USBC Hall of Fame 1989. Some of Jerry’s bowling accomplishments are as follows:
