The Mike O’Connor Scholarship is awarded to Kayla Heyman from the Thurston County USBC Association. Kayla attended Capitol High School, her parents are David and Betty Heyman. Kayla plans on attending South Sound Community College and plans to major in Psychology.


A WSUSBC Scholarship is awarded to Kimberly Gustin from the Cowlitz USBC Association.  Kimberly attended Kelso High School, her parents are Phil and Lisa Gustin. Kimberly plans on attending Portland Community College and plans on majoring in Nursing.


A WSUSBC Scholarship is awarded to Andrew Charles from the Palouse Regional USBC Association.  Andrew attended Moscow Senior High School, his parents are Tom and Marie Charles.  Andrew plans on attending North Idaho College and plans on majoring in Sociology, Public Administration and Minor in Psychology and Philosophy.


A WSUSBC Scholarship is awarded to Katryn Comeau from the Clark County USBC Association.  Katryn attended Prairie High School, her parents are Paul and Vicki Comeau.  Katryn plans on attending Clark Community College and plans on majoring in culinary arts and opening her own restaurant.


 A WSUSBC Scholarship is awarded to Ashleigh Klemetson from the Greater Seattle USBC Youth Association.  Ashleigh attended Ballard High School, her mother is Shelley Klemetson.  Ashleigh plans on attending Central Washington University and plans on majoring in Film and Video Studies.


A Bob DeVleming Scholarship is awarded to Jamie Sheppard from Thurston County USBC Association. Jamie attended Timberline High School, her parents are Arnie and Sabrina Sheppard.  Jamie plans on attending Gonza, Whitworth, PLU, Martins Westmont or Eastern University, and plans on majoring in Sociology.

The Washington State USBC Association is pleased to induct Jan Hauschel into the Washington State USBC Association Hall of Fame on this 16th day of July, 2011.

  Jan has been an active promoter of bowling at the state, local and league levels for approximately 37 years.
 
Jan has many titles from bowling thru her career, she has been on the Kitsap All star team for 22 years.  She has been All events winner for her association in 85-86, 89-90, County team champs 92-93, 96-97, 98-99, 04-05, County trios champ 91-92, 96-97, 98-99, County Doubles champ 97-98, took 4th place in State Queens in 98-99. Then in 91-92 she was state doubles champion, and State Team Champions in 95-96, 96-97, 98-99 (New record 3105) 99-2000, 00-01 (New Record 3119) 01-02 (New record 3204) and also in 03-04 4 Person Womens  Team Champions. Jan has bowled in 25 National tournaments she is very active in her Local Association, she has been on the board of directors for 18 years serving on every committee.  She became the Local President in 2004-05 and is still the current Local president.

 There is an event that is on June 17th, Sunday after our Showcase meeting.  We are asking all associations if anyone is interested in getting tickets for a Mariners game.  If you read the details below we need to get at least 40 people to lock in the discounted price.  Please let me know by April 1st, 2012 if anyone will be interested or any of your delegates attending this years Showcase would be interested in attending this event.  This is opened to everyoneGroup tickets for the June 17th game between the Mariners and San Francisco Giants. Game time in 1:10pm and is on Father’s Day. We can get group tickets for $40-$50 each for Main (100 Level) or Club (200 Level). We need a minimum of 40 individuals to get lock in the discounted price.  We need to know if anyone is interested and how many per will attend. We will include this as part of the available options for the Annual Showcase but anyone is welcome to attend the ballgame whether they are registered for the Showcase or not. If anyone is interested please respond by April 1.

Tristan attends Fife High School and is also attending Pierce College in Running Start, his mother is Julie Curtis. Tristan plans on attending Washington State University or Arizona State and plans to major as a Pharmacist or a Transportation Engineer.


A WSUSBC Scholarship is awarded to Nicholas Ness from the Snohomish County USBC Association.  Nicholas attends Kamiak High School and his parents are Gerry and Jeannie Ness. Nicholas plans on attending the Yale, Vanderbilt or University of Washington and plans on majoring in Music.


A WSUSBC Scholarship is awarded to Joshua Ray Kemper from the Clark County USBC Association.  Joshua attends Vancouver Christian High School and his parents are Scott and Tammy Kemper.  Joshua plans on attending the Northwest Nazarene University or University of Idaho and plans on majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
